At approximately 5:00 pm CDT, an external network provider injected a large number of routes into the IBM Cloud, which caused servers within the network to send their outbound IPv4 traffic to incorrect destinations. This resulted in severe traffic congestion, impacting multiple data centers and IBM Cloud services.

A major IBM Cloud outage affected Zello service with the following impact: inability to login or reconnect to the Zello service for most users; loss of connection and communication for users previously connected. Administrative consoles not available during the time of the outage.
